AUCKLAND, June 27

Tile German cruiser Emden leaves dock at 4 p.m. and berths at the Central Wharf. She leaves for Wellington on Friday and will be open to the public on Sunday a 1 tin-noon. The visitors are lx?ing entertained freely by tho citizens in a private capacity. Tho officers and men are said much impressed with their reception, which they believe will do much towards establishing friendship between this part of the British Empire and their own nation. Yesterday afternoon Archbishop Averill, accompanied by Rev. A. K. Vickery, called on Captain Von Arnault, on board the cruiser.
