For the first time in the history of the Schneider Trophy race for seaplanes. to he flown in September on the Solent, all the machines entered by the four competing nations will b monoplanes. fn the last race Gran' Britain entered two Super Marine Napier monoplanes and one GlostorNapier biplane. This, year the GlostorNapiers also will be monoplanes, while the French, Italian, and American challengers are all to be of monoplane construction. Some of these racin'’ monopanes are believed to be capable of speeds approaching 400 miles an hour.
