GROWING WORSE. (Australian Press Association) .SYDNEY, June 25. The weather throughout June has been consistently cold owing tii westerlies traversing the highlands and spilling over the snow-dad mountains into the coastal regions. The temperature in the city this morning was 39.7, the lowest recorded since June. 1927. Frosts were reported at Parramatta and other suburban districts. Snow is lying on various places in the highlands. The State Meteorologist anticipates yet lower temperatures. Though the winds locally have moderated, the weather in the Tasman lias grown worse. Strong southerlies and high seas are sweeping Bass -Straits. The steamers Marama and Maheno from New Zealand wirelessed that they will not arrive till late to-night.
