The winter is half over and the sun lias begun its long' journey back to us. There is a consequent lightening of spirit for everyone in the camp. Soon in the north there will be light creeping over the sky, and along the horizon, until our white world is again made visible. There have been some additions to our dog families. The newly arrived puppies are playful and friendly. Growing up in the Antarctic darkness, the only home that they have known is where there is only snow on which to play a.id where the sun never shines. Yet they are hap; v and rollicking as if romping in green pastures or chasing rabbits in a thicket.
