Through densely lined streets, fro n which the traffic was diverted, Gea•ral Booth’s funeral procession, mile and a half long, marched to tie ibbcy Park Cemetery from the \rmy\s International Headquarter.s. Hie hands played the General’s favourite hymn tunes. The banners were decorated with white ribbons. General Booth’s chauffeur, Adjutant Pritchard, drove the funeral car. The shroud was inscribed in white letters; “In action faithful; in honoui; clear.” Refusing to ride, Mrs Booth followed the bier afoot, accompanied by other relatives, General Higgins and leading Commissioners following. An immense crowd assembled at the '•cmetery, when* the service was conducted by Commissioner Catherine Booth..
