WEST COAST RUGBY UNION The usual meeting of the West Gmst Rugby Union was held las. night at Gruymouth. Referees’ reports were read and re ceived as satisfactory. Westland Sub-Union-wrote confirm ing home and home senior I> and jun ior fixtures on July Gtli. and 27th. A letter of thanks was receive, from the Merivale Club for the treat ment accorded them on the occiK).. of their visit to the Coast. The Chief Commissioner of Stamp; wrote stating that on no accoun could remission of amusement tax oi C'oast-Merivaio rep. match lie made. A telephone request was receives from L. Martyu for a transfer fron United Club to Kiwi Club. It was decided that Martyn he advised of the Union’s rule that all re quests for transfer must, be made i. writing, and providing this was don the Union would have no objection t granting the transfer. Two players were re-admitted to ti-c-ode, providing confirmation was gi\ en by the N.Z. Union. An invitation was received from tin Canterbury Union for a representative of tlie West Coast Union to be pro sent at the Jubilee celebrations and opening of new Rugby grounds at Si Albans, on July 26th. It was resolved to tlmnk the Canterbury Union for its invitation, and t advise that, if possible, a representa tive would he present.
It was decided to wire Bidler Unioi asking if it would he convenient fo the Buller-Coast rep. fixture to Ik fulfilled on July (sth. and if net, asking what date would he suitable. It was decided that all teams Ik awarded competition points again*' those teams who did not fulfil tiled fixtures last Saturday, and that fixtures as originally drawn up ho gone on with.
