AUCKLAND TRIMS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 22. The Auckland Trotting Club’s winter meeting opened at Alexandra Park on Saturday in fine weather. There was a large attendance, and some good racing was witnessed, although the track was heavy. The tote receipts were £38,689, compared with £41,0944 for the corresponding day of last year, when there were seven races, a decrease of £2,405}. Results:— 'Winter Trotting Handicap—2 Akenehi 1; 3 Peterson 2; 4 Floraline 3; Won by a short head; two lengths Time 5.7 1-5. Mangere Handicap—(B) Mountain Dell 1; (10) Trustworthy 2; (6) Holiora 3; Won by two and n-lialf lengths; three lengths. Time 3.45 1-5. Provincial Trotting Handicap—(3) Floraline 1; (1) Etta Cole 2; (2) Western Voyage 3. Won by half a head; five lengths, lime 5.1 1. Prince of Wales Handicap—(s) Dundas Hoy, and (7) Padlock 1; (2) Cardinal Logan 3. Dead-beat length and a-half. Time 5.6. Hobson Handicap—(6) Great Delight 1; (5) Evelyn Locanda 2; Derby Lynn 3. Won by a short neck; three lengths. Time 5.6 2-5. Stewards’ Trotting Handicap.—(2) Young Blake 1, (4) Cannonball 2, (3) Ngatira 3. Won by one and a-half
lengths. Time 5.9. . Cornwall Handicap—(s) Nelson Tasker 1, (8) Bessie Logan 2, (6) Harvest Child 3. Won by a head; half a head. Time 2.27. Marooni Handicap.—(6l Linkman I, (4) Winder 2, (15) Goldman 3. Won by two lengths ; one and a-half lengths. Time 3.4.
