BOSS NEWS.

(From Our Own Correspondent). On Wednesday afternoon at the Ross Vosbyterian Church a wedding tooic place which created considerable inter•st, the contracting parties being Miss Phyllis M. Chalmers, oldest daughter of'Mr and Mrs Geo. Chalmers, of Joss, to Harry Morgan, of Wellington, Tie Rev. J. Hayward, of Hokitika, icing the officiating minister. Miss Nita Emmett presided at the irgan and played appropriate music as the bride entered and lett the church. The church was very prettily decoritod by the girl 'friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a frock of cream georgette trimmed with silver lace and diamante buckles and pearl trimmings. She wore silver shoes and stockings to tone •uid an exquisite cream net veil beautilullv embroidered and a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bon--juet of pule pink diry<*Mitheni urns, relie veil with maiden-hair fern. Miss Winnie Chalmers, s’ster ol the bride, acted as bridesmaid and wore pink crepe-de-chine and silver lace panels forming an uneven horn, mob -zap of pink tulle and silver. She a'so carried a bouquet of gold chrysanthe-

man. After the ceremony at the church the bride parents entertained a large number of guests at their residence. Mrs Chalmers received her guests in black ottoman silk ensemble and hat to match. The bridegroom's mother. Airs Morgan, of Wellington, wore saxe blue charmaline and bat to tone. Hie usual toasts were proposed and honoured and later in the afternoon the lewly-vved couple left per car for the lorth. en route to Wellington, then future home, carrying with them the zest wishes of a large circle of friends for their 'future happiness.

The bride’s travelling dress was a -iivy-blue tailored costume and a fawn elt hat a navy blue velour coat with ,rown fur trimmings. The large numer of valuable wedding presents re•eived showed the esteem' in which the ’ouiig couple are held.
