PRIME MINISTER FLIES FROM SCOTLAND. (British Official Wireless.) (Received this day at JO a.u(.) ItUGBY, June 20. The Prime Minister'arrived at Hendron this afternoon in a Fairly bombing aeroplane having enjoyed the Journey from Lossiemouth. It is the first time that n British Prime Minister has ever flown. A halt was made about midway at Catterick, Yorkshire, where Mr MacDonald lunched with officers of the Royal Air Force Squadron. Flight Lieutenant He,slop', pilot of the machine did not take a straight line from Lossiemouth to Catterick. After leaving Lossiemouth he made for tlie east coast of Scotland, Hying over Banff to Aberdeen. Skirting the coast he crossed the Firth of Forth near Forth Bridge.
Mr MacDonald obtained a splendid view of Edinburgh with the Castle. After crossing the Firth of forth the machine crossed Cheviot Hills . and then turned slightly westward to Catterick. Here a number of machines awaited the Prime Minister to escort him to the air station Resuming the flight Hislop skirted the industrial Midlands. . The Prime 'Minister on alighting at Hendren observed that air travel was hotter than any other. MINISTER OF EMPLOYMENT. LONDON, June 20. Mr Thomas, Lord of the Privy Seal and Minister of Employment met representatives of railway companies today to discuss schemes of development, here railways have practical schemes merely awaiting financial assistance. Mr Thomas has asked that all the facts should be laid before the Economic Council of Ministers of which he is Chairman. .
