The Southern Cross is ready to leave Richmond to-morrow morning, weather permitting. The schedule provides for an eleven days trip from Derby to London. I !m stated: “We shall try to reach London as quickly as possible, after waiting at Derby for forty-eight hours for the final check of the -weather reports.
Tlie plane will hop off direct for Singapore, two thousand and twenty miles. Ample provision is made t > for sustenance in the event ol a forced landing. The monoplane will he given a final trial this afternoon. We,are confident wo will get through this time.”
