TROTSKY
PLEA FOR ENTRY TO LONDON. United Press Association.—By Eleetrn Telegraph.—Copyright.! LONDON, June 19. M. Trotsky, being angry at alleged misrepresentation in the press throughout the world, lias supplied the “Daily Express’’ with a signed statement in which he says:—“Aline and my wife’s health demand treatment 'tliaft- is not obtainable in ’Turkey Residence in London would enable me to .superintend the publication of my books in English. I do not wish to conceal there is at present a special reason why J wish to go to England, where a great political ihange has just taken place. The party which, for the second time, has assumed power in‘Britain, believes that the difficulties created by private ownership can he surmounted through democracy, and I do not see how they can begin hv refusing the right of asylum, which is a democratic institution, to an adversary who has no intention of interfering or intervening in British politics.”
