CANADIAN POLITICS. (Received this day at 10 a.m.) VANCOUVER, June 18.

A message from Sarnia, Ontario, says: “Fruit, butter, meat, vegetables, shoes, wool, sugar, all these and other products are being produced in Canada in ever decreasing quantities, because of the short sighted policy of Mr King’s Government in the matter of tariffis,” declared the Conservative lender (Mr Bennett) in an address there during the course of his Canadian tour. In all speeches so far, Mr Bennett has confined himself to fiscal matters on a concentration appeal for more protection, for Canadian industry. He made much of Australian and New Zealand treaties, laying a charge that under them butter was being .imported into Canada in such quantities as aim st to rti.n the Canadian dairy industry. He compared it with the p .-licy which permitted .Hitter to lie made in the country where cows could be pastured the year round. He cited the policy of United States. President Hoover by bis executive power bad increased the duty oil milk and cream coming from Canada. The result was that United States was buying up dairy cows in this country, and starting herds, whereas Canada was losing the dairying industry. There were a hundred and one thousand fewer cows in Canada now, than a year a go.
