Advice has been received by the Minister of Defence (the Eton T.- M. Wilford) that Flight-Lieutenant Sidney Wallingford, of the Royal Air Force, who has accepted the appointment of captain in the New Zealand Air,.Force, will arrive in the. Dominion shortly. Mr Wilford mentioned that Captain Wallingford, who is an expert in flying boats and seaplanes, will be attached to the Hobsonville aerodrome*' where the seaplane base is. Captain Walling*; ford has recently distinguished himself by winning the rifle championship of the Royal AirY) Force, together with' the Duke of Cumberland’s Cup. ( Y
