OBITUARY.

ARCHBISHOP BARRY. MELBOURNE, June 14. The death has occurred at the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart, the Most Rev. Dr W. Barry, aged 59. The Most Rev. Dr William Barry was born at Middleton, County Cork, Ireland. He was educated at All Hallow’s College, Dublin, and was ordained a priest in 1»98, taking up an appointment at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney, in the following year. From 1906 until 1919, he was pastor at Cliats wood, Sydney. He was appointed Coadjutor-Archbishop of Hobart in 1919 and succeeded to the See in 1926.
