P One night at the Barathope Country Club, Darenth tells Camilla of his love for her, but suggests that they keep it a secret if or a while as he hasn’t a penny. . Qamilla, after telling him he • cares more for money than he does for I her, goes back to the ballroom. Prior , to this, Starling had asked Mrs Challenger if "he could ask Camilla to be his wife and she had consented. After going back to England, Starling travelling back on the same boat, Camilla becomes■ viis wife, and he neglects her ( and she turns to Darenth, who has also returned to England, to entertain her. | On Camilla’s birthday a wire comes from the manager of the Benzola Oil i Co. in Africa to say that The Great! Well had gone dry. Starling and his two business associates, Canfield and Tracy, decide to keep it a secret for a few days, but at a suggestion from John Milford, an unscrupulous busi-; ness man whom Starling had beaten in a Brazilian deal, Darenth, who has, lost his money at the Monte D’Ore Club, asks Camilla what is in the cable and she tells him. 1* or further information see “.The Great Well,” starring Seena Owen at the Princess Theatre to-night.
