The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Bbarxl advises that the following prices are being offered for fat stock for export at 10th June:—Canterbury: Prime woolly lambs: 361bs and under, - lOd; 371bs to 421bs, 9d; 431bs and over, B]d. Second quality lambs, B|d.
At the Magistrate’s Court to-day, before Mr D. J. Evans, J.P., a frequent offender' without means, was convicted and discharged on a charge of drunkenness in a public place. Later, Sergeant King made application for the man’s transfer to a Salvation Army Home, the local Army officer completing the necessary } arrangements, and the funds were found for the necessary transport, expenses. - --.-..-.
