N.Z. MUSICIAN

VIEWS OF AIUSIO IN VIENNA

(Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 8.30. a.m.) SYDNEY, June 14. Afiss Imelda Fama, of Wellington, New Zealand, who returned by the Afaloja gave her impressions of music in Vienna. She has completed five years study of the piano under Professor Wuliror, and she is now returning to New Zealand by the Al aunganui. She said:—“l consider Vienna the best place in the world for studying the piano. The fees are not excessive and the cost of living is small.’’ She was greatly impressed by the Philharmonic Orchestra in Vienna. People there patronised operatic and orchestral institutions in a way that put people of our countries to shame. Some of the poorer people would rather go without a meal than miss a concert. Afiss Fama gave ail independent rehearsal before leaving Vienna and was well received.
