“ RIDERS OF THE DARK ” -TO-NIGHT.
“ Ritters of the Dark,” which will he shown to-night at the Princess Theatre 'is ‘decidedly the beet outdoor romance that Sletro-Goklwyn-Mayer have yet presented with Tim McCoy. McCoy has only been ori‘ the screen some eighteen months, but in that time he has earned the reputation of being the finest .Of outdoor stars. He is handsome, jv daring horseman, a deadly shot, of exceptionally fine physique, and has proved himself to be an actor of'no mean 'Accomplishment. ‘‘Riders of the Dark,” is a thrilling and fastmoving tale Of a small frontier town in the days when gangs of bandits terrorised the population for miles, around. • /Drama, arises from, the death, of the owner, and, editor of the Hangtown “ Bugle,” whose straight talk about the gang arouses their wrath—and through his pretty daughter, Molly, for whose ’dove the, "gang leader and Lieut. Crane, a- courageous cavalryman, fight a desperate battle, the odds being greatly against ..the gallant Crane, The supporting cast of “ Riders of the Dark ” is worth special mention, as no less than six well-known players appear in it, giving the picture a unique appeal, namely, Dorothy Dwan, Bert Roach, Rex Lease, Roy D’Arcy, Frank Currier and Dick Sutherland. Very seldom is such talent assembled for an outdoor romance. Nick Grinde directed “Riders of the Dark ” Ifor Metro-Goldwyn-Mnyer, this being his first effort as a full-fledged, director, and it is a smashing debut.
The usual supports will he shown, .including the latest -'chapters of the great Circus serial, a topical and a comedy.
