A proposal that their Company should amalgamate with the Canterbury Frozen Aleut Cov.. was not carried to-day at an extraordinary general meeting of the North Canterbury Farmers’ Frozen Aleut Coy.. Actually the voting on the proposal was: For amalgamation, 2-160; against: 2026. However’ according to.' the articles’ oT association, a three-quarters majority is required to, carry such a jpotion.; It is therefore virtually not agreed to. The meeting was a lively one. the opponents of amalgamation being; loud in their,- protests against the plan. ;
