Vickery, chaplain of the mission to seamen, wrote stating that the German warship’s company would be invited to make use of the Institute where a concert„would be held. Arrangements were completed for a reception and dance in honour of the visitors. It was decided that the hall bo decorated with the British, New Zealand and German flags. A Maori party wilt take part in the entertainment. Admission will be by invitation only. ROTARY DECISION. AUCKLAND, June 10. At a. meeting of the Auckland Jtotary Club, it \(\as decided, almost unanimously, to extend to the officers 1 and men of the German cruiser Emden, such courtesies as the Club would; extend to a company of any other foreign nations. The warship matter was taken in committee, and the decision was made under one of the objects of Rotary, that of the advancement of international peace and goodwill.
