REPARATIONS
NEW AGREEMENT i (United Press Association -By Eleetrie . telegraph—Copyright). PARIS, June 2. Mr Pierpont Morgan’s departure . homeward shows that a measure of agreement has been reached at the , Reparations Conference. it is understood that the Dawes Plan is to end on September Ist next; after which the Germans are to pay for a period of ten years amounts between 84-J millions and one hundred millions sterling annually. Then the Germans are to pay one .million pounds every year for twenty-seven years. Finally there is to be one payment of 120 millions for a year. Germany;has gained a concession of being allowed to continue payment in kind for ten years. It is persistently reported that the old twenty-five per cent, under the Reparations Recovery Act has been cut .down to twenty per cent. Consequently* Britain will not derive her 22 per cent share that was.fixed by the Spa agreement.
FINAL ARRANGEMENT. ’ BERLIN. June 3. It is understood the Governments concerned wish the Reparations question to be disposed of before the Ist. August. Therefore a conference, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Finance, probably will be held in July. The German Government is not allowing the matter to .be discussed in the Reichstag at present.
