GREY AND HOKITIKA
'l'lie annual inter-club matches for the Seddon Cup between Greymouth and Hokitika were played yesterday, both at the Omoto and Mahinapua links and resulted in a victory for Greymouth Club in each case. At the Mahinapua Links, Greymouth won 18 games out of 28, and at Omoto 8 games out of 11. Ideal weather prevailed, and the links wore in fairly good order. At the conclusion of the tourney at Hokitika, the ' cup was presented by Mrs Seddon to Mr Pratt, who on behalf of the Greymouth team, took the opportunity of expressing thanks to the Hokitika Club for the hospitality accorded the visiting players. Tn responding to the welcome extended by Mr Parkinson on (behalf of the Greymouth Club, to the visitors at Omoto, Mr Allan Baker (Hokitika) mentioned that Mr Field had donated a cup for competition between Hokitika and Greymouth junior .meiiT teams, and Mr Oaliari had given a clip for a B. grade ladies’ competition. !
