SUNDAY’S REPORT.

LONDON, June 3

It is officially announced that the King had a quiet day on Sunday, there being no change in his condition.

Four additional honours have been given to His Majesty’s doctors, which consist of a C.V.O. to Drs Wheatley (bacteriologist), Hodgson (radiologist), Howitt (ray therapist), and the fourth class of the Victorian Order to Dr Dodds (Professor of Biochemistry). CONDITION UNCH ANGED. LONDON, June 2. The King’s condition is unchanged. No bulletin was issued. The doctors will make a statement to-night.

NEW ZEALAND’S MESSAGE

AUCKLAND, June 2.

The Governor-General lias forwarded the tfollowing message for submission to the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday:— “ 1 beg to tender to Your Majesty the loyal and most respectful good wishes of the Government and people of New Zealand on the occasion of Your Majesty’s birthday, and the renewed assurance off unfailing devotion of Your Majesty’s subjects in this Dominion to the throne and person. All are concerned to hear of Your Majesty’s indisposition and trust that it will not retard complete restoration to health to which Your Majesty’s people have been looking forward.”

THE KING’S PROGRESS.

The King passed another good night. His birthday was quietly celebrated at Windsor with a ceremonial parade of the guard. His Majesty received congratulations from all parts of the Empire. Replying to the - Lord Mayor s message the King said: ‘‘Gratefully remembering the affection and sympathy evidenced by the citizens off London during my recent long their greeting is more than ever welcome on this birthday.”
