There were exciting incidents during a fire which destroyed a sporting goods factory in the suburb of Sail Souci. The damage is estimated at £4,000. Soon after the brigade arrived packets of cartridges exploded and bullets whizzed about the firemen. No one was injured. Two adjoining houses were also damaged.
