TARIFF BILL
- (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). ’’Receiver! this day at 11 a.m., WASHINGTON, May 28: Among further amendments adopted to the new Tariff Bill, which the House passed to-day. was one sponsored by Representative Garber, providing that when wheat imported under bond, is withdrawn lor export to a foreign country, the tariff rate be equal to the preferential rate, given by the country to which it is sent or imported. WASH! NG'I’ON, Alay 23. The Tariff Bill lias heen sent to the Senate where it. is not likely to be dealt with for several months. The. Tariff Bill which was passed in the House by 2(5-1 votes to 147 is-the thirty-seventh tariff hill and the one with the highest rates in the nation’s history.
