Most brands of tobacco possess some distinguishing peculiarity. 'I he peculiarity of our New Zealand brands b that once you acquire a taste for them -and it doesn’t take long! they “spoil” you for all other kinds. Ihe peculiarity of the imported tobaccos i-. that- teliy are all jinore or less loaded wit Imieotine, -so that their constant use is certain, sooner or later, to ali'eet heart or nerves, or develop “smo" sts's throat”, I hanks to the trifling percentage, of nicotine in the New Zealand they are, absolutely safe an ’ may bo indulged in without fear of consequences. These fine tobaccos owe their wonderful purity largely to the fact that the leaf is toasted, a process which not only helps to eliminate tin* nicotine but develops flavour and aromo to a marked degree. There aie a number, of brands, those mostly asked for being “R-iverh-ead Cold’ (mild and aromatic) ; “Cavendish” (a delightful smoke, medium strength). “Xavv Cut” No. 3 (a blend of choice leaf) 'ami “Cut Plug No. 10” (a rich dark, full-flavoured tobacco.)
