“A NIGHT OF MYSTERY” -TO-NIGHT.
Evelyn Brent, who plays the role of Gilbert© Boismartel, married woman in love with Adolphe Menjou in his latest Paramount starring vehicle, “A Night of Mystery,” started out in life as a school teacher. She attended the New York Normal School, until she visited some eastern studios with a group of classmates and was given a test. Then and there she dropped her pedagogical ambitions and turned her face towards the cameras—and ifame. She made her biggest hit in “Love ’Em and Leave ’Em,” and after a successful personation in “Beau Sabreur,” was signed to a Paramount feature contract. Her first role under the new agreement was opposite Emil Tannings in “The Last Command,” and later she became George Bancroft’s leading woman in “The Show Down.” “A Night of Mystory ” is the screen attraction at the Princess Theatre to-night. The supports include a topical and comedy.
