High Mass will be offered at Westminster Catholic Cathedral on J(jnc 16th. in connection with the King’s recovery thanksgiving service. Cardinal Bourne, Primate of England will assist on the occasion.. The service will conclude with “Tc Deum.” ; LONDON. May 20.

Provisional arrangements for the thanksgiving service for the King’s recovery from his recent illness promise an imposing display on June 16!th., one that will he typical of •..nulliot.a! British pageantry. Their Majesties will drive in state ai ng the Mall and Whitehall to Westminster Abbey, return ng by the same route. Landaus will bo used if the weather is line. Otherwise close gilt carriages will he employed. Six horses eompaTisjiied in go d harness, with scarlet-coated postillions as attendants will draw. Their Majesties’ carriage, which will lie accompanied by footmen in royal scarlet and gold livery. Four horses will be attached to each carriage of the suite. An escort of Life Guards with the Royal Standard will precede and follow Their Majesties, who will drive last in the procession to the Abbey, and will head the returning procession to Buckingham Palace. ,

It is understood that the Prince of Wales and all of Die Royal Family will probably attend. The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Dean of Westminster will conduct the service, which will he of the simplest character. It Avill be broadens t.

No tickets will be issued except for a restricted official list, so that all classes will have the opportunity of attending. The hymns will include, “All P^o" I '- That on Earth Do Dwell.” and “Praise Mv Soul,” and “King of Heaven.” which is the King’s choice. The National Anthem will he sung on Their Majesties’ arrival, and the “Te Deum’-’ at the end of the service, the form of which will be announced to enable its use throughout the Empire.
