ECONOMIC MISSION
TO VISIT SOUTH AMERICA
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 11.25. a.m.), RUGBY, -May 23. The Board of Trade announce the Government have appointed an economic mission to visit Argentina and Brazil. The mission will consider the relations, industries, commercial and financial of Great Britain with both countries, with a view to their development in the general interest.
Viscount D’Abernon who was in Germany from EJ2U to 15)20 has consented to preside over the mission, other members of which will b t > Sir William Chile (representing textile industries), Mr J. Rowland (representing engineering industries) and Air Julian Piggett (representing iron and steel industries). The mission will undertake a preliminary survey in the country of Anglo-Argentine and Anglo-Brazilian trading questions and for this purpose will seek co-operation of Chambers of Commerce, Trade Associations and other leaders as well as individual filrms interested in Argentine and Brazil.
