APPEALS PENDING. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, May 21. J". S. ("Jock”) Garden, Charles Reeves and John' Ryan, who went to gaol yesterday, Have been released pending appeals against their sentences. JUDGE’S RETIREMENT. (Received tliis day at 9.2 d a.in.) SYDNEY, May 23. The intended retirement of Mr Justice Campbell from the Supreme Court bench is officially announced. CABINET DECISION. TO SUSPEND RURAL WORKERS AWARD. BRISBANE, May 23. At the first Cabinet meeting of the new Government, it was decided to take stops for the issue of an Order in-C'ouncil to suspend the rural workers award. It is believed this means the re-employment shortly of hundreds oil rural workers in south-eastern Queen,slnnd alone.
