ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, May 22. Prices remained fairly good at today’s live stock sale at Addington. Fat Cattle.—There was a good yarding. The quality was good, and tho demand was firm. Heavy steers sold £lO 10s to £2O, handy weights £l4 6s to £l6 16s, medium £lO 15s and £ll •15s, light £8.15s to £lO ss. Heifers and cows sold: Extra £l3 to £ls I2s fid; prime £8 to £l2 ss; medium £fi 15s to £9 15s; inferior £4 15s to £fi 10s. Fat Sheep.—There was a fair yarding. The quality was mixed. Prime wethers sold to 40s, medium 32s and 3fis, light 2fis fid and 31s. Ewes sold Prime 29s to 34s lOd, medium 24s to 28s, light and aged 17s to 235. Store Sheep.—There was a smaller yarding. Prices were on a par with late rates. Fine wool led lambs sold 17s 9d and 24s 9d; crossbred ewe lambs 22s to 255, 'Wether lambs sold: Good 20s to 235, others 14s to 18s. Crossbred ewes sold up to 28s fid; hallbred ewe old to 295; wethers to 29s fid; two-tooth hali’bred wethers 23s to 245. Fat Lambs.—There was a medium ontrv. Prices were good throughout. Extra prime sold to 3fis 7d, prime 30s to 335, medium 28s fid and 30s, light 25s fid to 27s fid. Fat Pigs.—There was a good entry, including consignments from the West Coast. The values were; Choppers £2 and £5 13s fid, light bacon £3 and £3 10s; heavy £3 15s and £4 11s fid. Light nock values were 35s and 48s, heavy to 58s fid. SI ire pigs were hard to quit at reduced rates
