Colin Campbell MeEweii applied for compensation from the V aipahatu Sawmilling Co. for injury received while in the employ of defendants. Medical evidence was given as to the condition of .plaintiff's heart. In gi\-in-r his decision, His Honour said the Court had cmne to the conclusion that bush work was too heavy for the plaintiff, but there was no reason why in time, his heart should not be as well as ever. The Court would award j'n[l compensation lor six months which would be equivalent to giving compensation for light work for 12 months. Counsel for plaintiff said the compensation up to date would be £ll9 and C:i 8s weekly for the balance ol the time.
