BANK OFFICER DEAD. WELLINGTON, .May 21. The death occurred yesterday of -T. M. Butt, aged 83. for many years connected with the Bank of New Zealand. He was a son of Archdeacon Butt, who came to New Zealand as surgeon to Bishop Selwyn’s mission, subsequently, taking holy orders. He was horn at Nelson in 184/5. l'or a time the late Mr Butt was in Fiji and later was Government- Auditor for Australia of the .Manic of New Zealand.
