Three horses had to he destroyed a> the result of injuries during the Wanganui J.C.. races to-day. Pmvherp broke a fetlock in the Grandstand Steeplechase; Davguard strained the ligaments of one leg alter going seven furlongs in the Empire Handicap ,and its destruction was ordered. Millais broke a fetlock in the Winter Oats. JOCKEY KILLED. WANG A NUT, May 18. Owing to severe facial and internal injuries when Gala Day lull in the Rata Hack Hurdles, Warner was taken to the hospital, where lie expired at 6 p.m.
