Owing to tribes hostility, Amanullah is retreating to Kelatighifzai, 125 mile southeast of Ghazni. He was lucky to escape from Mukur, where he was besieged by the Ghilzai tribe. M BRITISH ,LEGION. LONDON, May 17. Opening the British Legion Conference, the Prince of Wales urged a continuance of financial support, efforts tq reduce unemployment and pilgrimages to the battlefields should be repeated annually to increase spirit of comradeship. Lord Jellicoe (President) said unemployment was still pressing, though the year’s work was encouraging.
