REMARKABLE SCENES AT INVERCARGILL. INVERCARGILL, May 19. The May Fair was bought to a conclusion yesterday in beautiful weather. The sun came through strongly all day, and the night was fine and dear, with a slight nip in the air. Hundreds of children were to be seen / in the afternoon, in fancy costume, at the pets paradeand in the; evening the streets resembled Venice, a huge crowd in fancy dress parading the streets.
