Commenting on recent tours of the North and South Islands, lion. P. A. dc la Perrellc expressed the opinion in an interview that there was striking evidence of. contentment and optimism among the , farming and business section of the community.. The recent statistical figures had exemplified this to an almost superlative degree. All round for many months past, the shoulder has been put to the wheel and production had materially increased, to the value of twelve million in exports over imports lor the financial year just closed.
