Defiant- .speeches liv the leaders, was the principal feature a secret meeting of timber workers held in the basement of the Town Hall last night. An extension of the dispute was "forecasted.
It is announced the engineers at the yards were declared mack, and would ue withdrawn to-day, with the object of bringing operations tit the yards to a standstill.
Kavanagh, a we 1-known Communist, presided, and the speakers included Denford, whose name was mentioned in the A nos raid.
Timber strikers stoned three houses of loyalists in Western Suburbs early in the morning, breaking windows. One man was injured.
