A carpenter who lisul been knocker 1 down by a motor car was awarde' 1 £2OOO damages by a jury in tbe King’; i.ench Division, fibe man, Reginah Edgar Spooner, df Green Lane, Han well, sued Mr Frank Keating, a com mission agent of Baker Street London It was stated that about ten at mgld :Vlr Spooner was crossing the junction of Windmill Road and tbe Great WesRoad, at Brentford, when be was knocked down by Mr Keating’s car. His left leg was so badly broken that : subsequent operation had to be pei, formed to fix tbe knee. Mr Spooner it was stated was lamed as a resub of his injuries.
