WASHINGTON, May 15

The economic conference upon which President Hoover served as Chairman, and which was appointed in January, 1928, to report on recent economic changes in the United States, has published its findings. The report depicts, the country as enjoying an unprecedented period of prosperity, with the living standards at a higher level than over but it declares: “We cannot hope to maintain our economic advantage, or hope fully to realise on our economic future, unless we consciously accept/ .principles of equilibrium.” The report then warns that tbe waste of the natural resources, the transferred money in quantity from production to speculation, and artificial price advancements, are developments which tend to destroy this equilibrium.
