The inquiry into the circumstances m the forced landing of the Southern Cross, and file deaths of Anderson and Hitchcock, was opened to-day. It was adjourned/till Thursday. • • Counsel for the mother of Keith Anderson ..sought .ini injunction of two weeks. Smith, l' Ini and other members ol the Southern Cross crew, also joined in the application for an adjournment on the ground that they were concern-, ed in certain litigation which had reached the stage when declarations had to lie made.
