WEDDING BELLS
Tlie wedding took place at Moatin' on Thursday last, at tho residence of Mi- Noel Peat, of Miss Lily Eveling. Johansen, eldest daughter of Mr,and Mrß Johansen of R.uru, to Mr Vernon Hardy. Jteid, second spn of Mr James Reid; '(-A.4ve-rtfis.iWS ?Manager of the Wanganii) .and Mrs'Reid of,; Wanganui: The ceremony was performed by the Rev, Mr Barker. The bride, who looked charming, was dressed in cream silk, with orthodox veil, carrying 'a bouquet of flowers to match, and-, was attended by her sister Hilda, tvs bridesmaid. Mr H. A. Taylor (teacher of Aritika School) acted as best man. The bride was given awav by her father. The happ.Vj couple left for Wanganui by tho express, the.bride wearing a light greytravelling costume. The school children and residents or Rum, where Mr Reid is tenoher, formed arches of fern fronds along the route to the railway carriage, which the happy couple had to pass through amid showers of rice, confetti and. good wishes. •;
