SYDNEY FLOODED. TORRENTIAL RAINS. (Australian Press Association) (United Service.) SYDNEY, May 12. Torrential rain- Ims* fallen almost continuously since Friday morning. The metropolitan area is soaked and the streets frequently have been awash. Owiiig to the rain, Tattersall’s races and other sports, except football, were postponed. LONGER HOURS MOVE. SYDNEY, May 12. The Union leaders are advising the railway men to refuse to comply with -the Government’s request for an individual decision from each of them for a new log. The Union leaders contend that the matter is one which should be determined by the Union Executives, and not by the members personally. ’PLANE CRASHES IN WESTRALIA. PERTH, May 12. A Westralian Airways plane crashed when leaving Geraldton in chaige of a new pilot, through striking telegiaph wires. The pilot and two passengers, however, was not hurt.
