RED CROSS PEACE TIME WORK
The above has boon carried on in the Westland District for the last three months. Instructional classes are being held in the Hollowing localities: — Koiterangi, thirty-two members; Kanieri, twenty-four; Rimu and Woodstock, twenty-four; A railnra, twenty-four and Hokitika thirty-nine. The classes were taken up with enthusiasm by the outlying districts, and have been particularly well attended throughout the course. Over one hundred and forty women are receiving in struction in this district.
Examinations tor Red Cross home nursing certificates will be held at the end ot May and beginning of June. Matron Lloyd, of the Westland Hospital, has kindly consented to examine tlie students.
It is hoped later to organise class' 1 * *n the South Westland district. Hari hari will be taken as the centre aiu classes can be organised in the surrounding districts, where instructior will be given.
Sister Christian desires to thank the people in Hokitika and the 'surrounding districts who have so generously given their help and lent equipment for demonstrating purposes.
