WOMAN KILLED. CAR AND GIG COLLIDE. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, May 9. Fata] ’injuries were sustained hv a passenger in a service ear, Mrs Alice Rosetta Robertson, aged about 40, the wife of T. M. Robertson, of Akaska, as the result of a collision between a. service ear and a gig near Pukekoho this evening. The shaft of the gig struck the car, and Mrs Robertson, who was in the front seat, wa.s struck by tlie shaft which penotimted her chest. She died within a few minutes. Both vehicles were damaged. j. MOTOR VICTIM. PALMERSTON N., May 9. The death occurred at the hospital of Percy McGlone, 77, who was found lying in an unconscious condition on the Fqxton line oil Saturday evening, suffering from shock and severo head injuries believed to have been caused by being struck by a motor car.
