WHEAT PRICES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day ab 1.0 p.m.) WINNIPEG, May 9. There is a further depression in wheat of two and a-half and three cents on Wednesday, with final' quotations of eleven cents lower since Saturday. Predictions from Liverpool of a vast flood of Canadian and Argentine wheat was responsible. WASHINGTON, May 10.
The Department of Agriculture announced to-day tout winter wheat indicated by the conditions on May Ist. would yield 595,335,000 bushels or 831 per cent, normal. Chicago wheat prices tumbled to tJ-'■* lowest levtel reached at this season of the year since 1914. The maximum drop on Wednesday was 4J cents. WHEAT CROP. WASHINGTON, May 9. The area of winter wheat to lie liarres'ed. estimated by the Department if Agriculture at 40.407.0.10 acres as •n May Ist. The condition of the -rnp was 83.0 per cent, of normal, compared with 82.7 per cent, on April Ist. and 74.9 nor cent, on May Ist. last year. The report estimates the total wheat is f>95.333,090 bushels compared with 078.961 000 last year and 002.747.000 in 1927.
