LAND OF AFFORESTATION, j SALE OF MATOKANA PROPERTY. An area of 900 acres adjoinng the Tauranga Harbour Board’s property at Matakuna Island has been sold to a 3|olbOurrie Company, which already owns large interests there. For 10 miles from Panepane, opposite Mount Maunganui, to Bowentown Heads, the land' will be utilised for afforestation purposes. Planting will be put in hand immediately. Tauranga Harbour Board decided to order a consignment of young trees for extending its plantation on Matakana Island.
