FIND OF AMBERGRIS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). INVERCARGILL, May 8. Some time ago a deer stalking party returned from beyond Port Craig with the nows that the skeleton of a sperm whale had been stranded on the beach about 18 miles from there. Messrs .T. West, W. Sangster, and T. West Junr.. set out for the spot in the hope of scouring ambergris from the carcase, and they have returned with a. piece which, at a conservative estimate, is valued at £GCO.
