Startling developments have taken (place in connection with 'Kwangsi operations aiming to the capture of Canton. Serious fighting is reported along Kawaloon-Canton railway. Further, the Canton Navy has declared its independence, refusing to fight against Kwangsie. This means that Kwangdc troops moving along the west river Oautonwards are likely to meet with little opposition. It is believed Canton will fall.
