A RAP UNI POWER STATION. FIRST UNIT COMPLETED. TT\MILTON, .May 6. The first unit at the Arapuni power works, generated 15,000 kilowatts, had a preliminary run on Saturday light and will be run for about a fortnight to dry out the generator. Tt is then expected that power will he avail able to the nublie. This one unit, of three to be installed, provides more current that the whole works at Horahora. where the output is 10,300 kilowatts.
